Man to get 650,000 yuan to make up for jail time

Zhao Zuohai, who was wrongfully convicted of murder in Henan province and was jailed for about 10 years, will receive 650,000 yuan ($95,210), in accordance with the State compensation law, the Henan Provincial Higher People's Court announced Thursday, dahe.cn reported.

Authorities have also issued arrest warrants for three police officers suspected of torturing Zhao into confessing to the murder 10 years ago.
Two of the officers, Guo Shouhai and Zhou Minghan, have been detained while the third cop, Li Deling, is still at large.
