China anti-graft chief: post-quake construction clean

CHENGDU -?China's anti-corruption chief He Guoqiang Thursday said no violations have been discovered with the fund management of the post-Sichuan-earthquake reconstruction.
He listened to the report from the three quake-affected provinces of ?Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, and three other provinces involved in reconstruction, Jiangsu, Fujian and Shandong, as well as relevant government agencies, such as the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.
He said, this year is crucial for the post-quake reconstruction. He urged local authorities and relevant departments to take measures to prevent abuse or waste of funds and ensure projects quality.
On May 12, 2008, a 8-magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan of Sichuan Province and affected adversely parts of Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, leaving almost 90,000 people dead or missing.
