First ministry budget revealed online

Ministry of Land and Resources announced its 2010 budget on its website on Tuesday, becoming the first ministry-level department to make its budget transparent after the government pledged to publicize "where the money will come from and go to" within three years.
According to the ministry, the general budget in 2010 is 3.47 trillion yuan. The fiscal revenue includes government financial allocation and institutional funding. The expenditures cover foreign affairs, scientific research and social welfare.
The Ministry of Finance issued 12 budget sheets for central government groups last week, and a spokesman for the ministry said the budget should be easy to read for the public and not too bureaucratic.
