Stimulus package to hit 487b yuan

The central government will spend 487 billion yuan ($71 billion) of its 1.18 trillion yuan contribution to the nation's stimulus plan this year, the Ministry of Finance said on Friday. A further 588.5 billion yuan will be spent in 2010, the ministry said in a statement detailing budget allocations for the stimulus plan, which totals 4 trillion yuan.
