College student throws away baby born in dorm

A college student may be punished for discarding a newborn baby she delivered in a washroom next to her dorm. She fainted afterwards and was found in a pool of blood.

She was recovering at the Beijing Professional Business Institute on Monday, but the baby died, after it was thrown out of the second floor window.

If tests show the baby died from the fall, she could be charged with involuntary manslaughter, said a lawyer. Police are looking into the case.
