President Hu writes name for home-made space suit

BEIJING -- Chinese President Hu Jintao has wrote the name for China's domestically-made EVA (extra-vehicular activity) space suit "Feitian".

Feitian, which literally means "flying in the sky" in Chinese, is the name of a legendary Buddhist goddess.

Hu, also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission, wrote the two Chinese characters in calligraphy.

During a 68-hour flight of the space mission, Zhai Zhigang undertook China's first-ever space walk donning the China-made spacesuit.
