Woman jumps on metro tracks in Beijing

A woman jumped on the subway tracks at Gongzhufen station on Beijing's Subway Line 1 around 4:35 Monday, forcing suspension of services for 19 minutes.

The line connects the eastern and western parts of the capital.

The station staff cut off the power supply to the tracks as soon as they saw her jumping, and were joined by passengers in hauling her up, a Beijing Mass Transit Railway Operation Co spokesman said.
