GM hits 3m milestone

General Motors and its joint ventures announced on Dec 12 that they sold 3 million vehicles in China in 2013, a milestone for the US-headquartered auto giant. GM offers more than 40 different models under seven brands in China ranging from mini-cars and vans to luxury sedans and light-duty trucks.

BYD taxis in Rotterdam

Rotterdam Taxi Center, one of the biggest taxi operators in the Netherlands, is switching to electric taxis and has put two BYD e6 models into service. A five-seat, crossover vehicle powered by a BYD ferrous battery with a lifecycle of more than 4,000 full charges, the e6 pure electric can travel up to 300 km on a single charge.

New Year smart sold on Taobao

As an urban lifestyle trendsetter in both marketing and sales initiatives, the smart from Daimler is offering a 2014 New Year edition to welcome the Year of the Horse. All 666 limited edition vehicles will be sold for 126,888 yuan each through e-commerce portal Taobao.
