Trains of horses perennially bustle around the dense mountain forests carrying goods in Naqi village, Shangsi county of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

They ship out tons of colophonium and timber outside the mountains, and transport steel, wires and tree seedlings up the mountains to construct telecommunication systems, electric power facilities and forestation.

However, with the improvement of transportation, the villagers also buy a lot of agricultural vehicles, cars and motorcycles, creating a decrease in the quantity and freight volume of horse couriers.
