The Everus S1 is the first entirely new brand of car designed and mass produced for Chinese customers by a Sino-foreign joint venture. Developed at Guangqi Honda, the joint venture between Honda Motor Co and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co Ltd, the car is built on Honda's economy car platform and equipped with engines and transmissions from the Japanese company. The 1.3-liter version has maximum power and peak torque of 60 kW and 116 Nm. Its 1.5-liter version offers 77 kW and 136 Nm.

The car will mainly target entry-level consumers in small and medium-sized cities, the company said.
