HK's foreign assets reaches HK$2,023b in Nov

HONG KONG - Hong Kong's foreign assets of the exchange fund amounted to HK$2,022.6 billion ($260 billion) in November this year, up HK$13.2 billion from that in October, said the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) on Tuesday.

The monetary base reached HK$1,030.8 billion in November, according to the data released by the HKMA.

Meanwhile, claims on the private sector in Hong Kong amounted to HK$110 billion, while foreign liabilities, representing mainly obligations under repurchase agreements, reached HK$0.3 billion.
