China Datang Corporation (CDT), one of the extra large-scaled power enterprises, was
established on the basis of the partial power generation assets of former State Power
Corporation of China. It is a solely state-owned corporation directly managed by the CPC
central Committee and is the experimental state-authorized investment and state share-
holding enterprises ratified by the State Council.

CDT was established on Dec 29, 2002, with registered capital of 12 billion yuan. By the end of 2004, the installed capacity totaled 33,534MW and sales revenue hit 41.1 billion yuan.
 
The power generation amounted to 173.37 billion kWh and the total assets reached 143.3
billion yuan in 2004.
