CWT to set up Northeast base

CWT Distribution Ltd, Singapore's largest logistics enterprise, will establish the Northeast China headquarters in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province and invest in building an integrated logistics park located in the Xihe River Economic Zone in the city.

The signing ceremony of the two agreements was held in Shenyang on October 8. According to the agreements, the company plans to build a modern logistics platform in Shenyang serving the petro-chemical, machinery and electronics, automotive and auto part industries.

With an investment of 600 million yuan (US$75.87 million), the logistics park is expected to contain warehouses, processing, distribution and trading markets covering an area of two square kilometers. It is the first foreign-invested project in the Xihe River Economic Zone.
