HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks shed 94.5 points, or 0.4 percent to close at 23,757.63 on Friday.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index opened 118.38 points lower and edged upward until reaching the day high of 23,862.54 in the middle of the morning session.
The gauge was mostly heading downward in the afternoon.
Turnover totaled HK$123.34 billion ($15.9 billion).
