During China's recent May Day holiday, an unusual sight greeted visitors at a bustling metro station in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province. Rows of suitcases and backpacks lined the corridor walls, left unattended by their owners, who had gone off shopping, dining and sightseeing trusting that their belongings would remain safe.
Dubbed the "unattended luggage wall" by netizens, this scene stretched for dozens of meters inside Wuyi Square station, a busy hub in the city's commercial center.
