China, US have 'constructive' high-level trade exchange
He Lifeng, China's vice-premier and lead for China-United States economic and trade affairs, held a video call on Thursday evening with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The two sides held candid, in-depth and constructive exchanges on implementing the important consensus reached by the two countries' heads of state during their meeting in Busan, South Korea, last October, and in previous phone calls, and on advancing pragmatic cooperation and properly addressing respective concerns in the economic and trade sector.
The Chinese side also expressed serious concerns over recent restrictive US economic and trade measures against China.
Both sides agreed to continue to make good use of the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism, build consensus, manage differences and strengthen cooperation, so as to promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of China-US economic and trade relations.
