Chinese tea brand taps premium dining scene
Chinese modern craft tea brand BASAO is aiming to enter premium dining and global lifestyle scenarios by offering a younger, more convenient approach to tea drinking.
The brand showcased its modern approach to tea drinking during a recent food culture exchange program in Beijing, serving as the sole tea beverage partner of the event.
BASAO presented its packaged tea products across a variety of settings including hotel guest rooms, restaurant tables, culinary workshops and outdoor hospitality activities.
The company said its products focus on consistent quality, pure flavor and convenience. Unlike traditional brewing techniques, where flavor may vary depending on water temperature and methods, BASAO's packaged tea products offer a more stable drinking experience and make tea easier to enjoy in both everyday and high-end dining settings.
BASAO said its aluminum can packaging is designed to block light and oxygen, helping preserve the original flavor of the tea while allowing the product to be served either hot or cold.
"How wonderful it would be if we could drink BASAO tea in the United Kingdom in the future," Xanthe Clay, academy chair for the United Kingdom and Ireland of The World's 50 Best Restaurants, wrote on Instagram.
The company added that it aims to free tea from the constraints of brewing techniques and elaborate rituals, allowing it to return to contemporary life and fit naturally into global dining settings.
