ZXMOTO's founder, Zhang Xue, started his motorcycle business in Chongqing in 2013, drawn by the city's reputation and the abundance of motorcycle parts available in its markets, despite having no local connections initially.
A cradle of China's motorcycle industry, Chongqing is home to over 40 vehicle manufacturers and more than 400 parts suppliers, boasting an annual production capacity of 10 million vehicles and 20 million engines. Remarkably, one in every three motorcycles exported from China originates from the city, statistics show.
