The Year of the Horse has arrived, and Malaysia is also celebrating the Spring Festival, a statutory holiday. As a fourth-generation Malaysian Chinese, Jess Lee shared her experience of the Spring Festival in the interview with China Daily. Lee believes that traditional festivals serve as an important bond for family connections and was delighted to discover that many customs originating from China are still fully preserved in Malaysia. For her, regardless of where one is, reuniting with family and passing on cultural traditions remain the core meaning of traditional festivals.
