Sophie Bellon, chairwoman of Sodexo's board of directors and CEO, stated in an exclusive interview with China Daily that China is a crucial market for Sodexo, with the elderly healthcare sector presenting a core opportunity for the company in the future. Sodexo has been deeply rooted in the Chinese market for 30 years and is now a key player in the corporate services and education sectors. The group believes there are huge opportunities in the healthcare sector, especially in elderly healthcare services, and its positioning in the health sector is strongly aligned with the Chinese government's Healthy China Initiative. "This gives us more opportunities to continue growing in China," Bellon said.
