Ikea China announced on Wednesday its plan for the upcoming 8th China International Import Expo, highlighting its commitment to the Chinese market under the theme "Home is more than you think".

The Swedish furniture giant will showcase new products, partnerships, and consumer insights at the expo, reinforcing its dedication to creating in China, for China, and with China.

As an eight-year consecutive participant of CIIE, Ikea China will present its latest innovations and local adaptations in a 360-square-meter pavilion inspired by the Nordic philosophy of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The exhibition space, featuring aurora borealis effects and paper-folding elements, symbolizes the infinite possibilities of home life.

"As a 'full-attendance student' at CIIE for eight consecutive years, Ikea continues to leverage this platform to deepen its integration into the Chinese market and promote international cooperation," said Ruan Linjuan, vice-president of Ikea China.

"Our journey alongside Chinese consumers has revealed their growing emphasis on quality living and meaningful everyday moments, which inspired this year's exhibition theme," she added.

A highlight is Ikea China's collaboration with the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center of China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment, featuring a pilot project for endangered species protection through the SANDLOPARE children's product series.

Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of China-Sweden diplomatic relations, Ikea, as a partner of the Swedish national pavilion, is applying its expertise to create a functional exhibition space promoting bilateral cultural exchange, according to the company.

The pavilion will also host interactive experiences, including culinary and craft workshops, inviting visitors to explore diverse possibilities for modern home living.
