At the end of the 19th century, the tailors of Longqingxiang traveled to Europe to learn the art of making Western-style clothing. They reopened the shop in the 1990s and have since specialized in customizing Western-style garments. At Longqingxiang, creating each suit involves 27 steps to take the client's measurements and 406 steps to make it, resulting in more than 10,000 hand-sewn stitches by experienced craftsmen.

During the launch, the brand's loyal customers were given the opportunity to check out and try on the new series.

Beijing-based marketing professional Xu Peipei was one of them.

"I have had several suits made at Longqingxiang. Their meticulous tailoring skills and customer-first philosophy have always impressed me," Xu told the China Daily Website.

"Wearing the Longqingxiang attire makes me more confident when dealing with clients and has definitely given my career a boost," she added.
