Golden potato waves surged to herald the grand event, while precious yam gatherings welcomed guests to sketch a magnificent blueprint. From July 22 to 23, the 2025 China·Dingxi Potato Conference officially kicked off in Anding district, Dingxi city. To ensure a reliable and stable power supply during the conference, State Grid Dingxi Power Supply Company made proactive arrangements and precise efforts, providing steady electricity support that fueled both the smooth running of the Potato Conference and the development of the potato industry.

The 2025 China·Dingxi Potato Conference, themed "Integrating Chains and Clusters, Empowering Innovation, and Boosting the Building of a National Highland for the All-round Development of the Potato Industry Chain", was hosted by Gansu Tengyun Jiarui Enterprise Management Co, Ltd and co-organized by six entities including the International Potato Center Asia-Pacific Center, the Potato Professional Committee of the Chinese Crop Science Society, and the Dingxi Potato Research Institute. It convened experts, scholars, entrepreneurs from across the country, as well as international friends in the "Potato Capital of China" to jointly map out a splendid blueprint for the development of the potato industry.

In preparation for this year's conference, which was moved forward from September to July, the company promptly adjusted its work plan to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the event. The conference incorporated seven new events – including a potato industry exhibition, the promotion of "Dingxi Wide Noodles", special investment promotion sessions, and a roundtable dialogue on the high-quality development of Dingxi's potato industry. To aid power supply, the company formulated the Power Supply Guarantee Plan in coordination with the organizers, focusing on the venues – with the opening ceremony taking place at Dingxi Grand Theater, the exhibition at New Era Square, on-site visits and cultural tourism experiences in Chankou town and Xiangquan town of Anding district, and accommodation for guests particularly at Tianqing Hotel and other locations. The company immediately conducted a comprehensive inspection of relevant 10 kilovolt power lines, cables, main ring units, distribution rooms and other power supply equipment, identifying and eliminating 61 various hidden risks.

During the conference, the company implemented a system of "specific matters handled by assigned personnel through dedicated procedures" and adopted a mode of "fixed-post duty plus dynamic patrols". It deployed three emergency power vehicles to the opening ceremony venue to immediately deal with unexpected power supply issues. It also carried out key special inspections and dynamic testing on relevant power supply lines, distribution transformers, cable T-joints, pole-mounted switches and other equipment. By utilizing infrared temperature measurement technology to monitor the operating status of the equipment in real time, it ensured "zero failure" in power supply.
