To provide better energy services to foreign trade enterprises, the workers of the Datang Power Supply Station of State Grid customized electricity plans based on their actual electricity usage recently.

On June 4, at the production workshop of Zhuji Jiashao Textile in Zhuji, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, automated water jet looms were seen operating at high speed. The warp and weft yarns were intricately interwoven. Workers moved around, monitoring the production progress of the polyester fabrics destined for Europe.

Zhuji Jiashao Textile is a large-scale enterprise specializing in the production of polyester fabrics. Its products are mainly exported to countries and regions in Europe and Africa. Since the beginning of 2025, the company's foreign trade exports have seen a stable increase, and the electricity consumption has been climbing month by month.

"Our orders are mainly from Africa and Europe. We have six warping machines in the front section and 500 water jet looms in the back section. They are operating at full capacity 24 hours a day," said Wang Jianping, the general manager of Zhuji Jiashao Textile. Currently, the company's export orders are scheduled until July, with an average monthly shipment volume exceeding 900,000 meters.

The full-capacity production has led to a steady increase in Zhuji Jiashao Textile's electricity consumption. According to the latest data, from January to April, the company's electricity usage has shown a strong growth trend, with a total electricity consumption of 4.12 million kilowatt-hours, an increase of 14.17 percent compared to the same period last year. The highest monthly electricity consumption exceeded 1.4 million kWh, reaching a new high.

"For this company, on one hand, we guide them to stagger their electricity usage and adjust their production schedules based on their own production to reduce production costs through optimized electricity usage," said Zhao Tiefeng, the customer manager of Datang Power Supply Station of State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company.

Recently, the State Grid Zhejiang Power Supply Company issued a notice on further strengthening assistance to enterprise power supply services, proposing eight measures to assist enterprises with electricity needs. These efforts are ensuring stable power supply and high-quality power services, and helping to stabilize economy, foreign trade and consumption, in a bid to optimize the power business environment.
