May 12 marked the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day. To mark the occasion, the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company organized a series of emergency rescue drills, hoping to further enhance the service quality of emergency rescue in extreme weather and special environments and better cope with various sudden disasters and emergencies.

The outdoor drill activity included two aspects: mountain rescue and water rescue. The mountain rescue drills required team members to pass comprehensive tests of physical strength, endurance and skills. During the process, they not only had to overcome rugged terrain but also calmly deal with various possible emergencies.

In the simulated mountain rescue, team members swiftly devised rescue plans, skillfully used ropes, stretchers, and other professional equipment. They succeeded in rescuing the "trapped individuals". Throughout the process, team members supported each other, encouraged each other and fully demonstrated the power of teamwork.

In the water rescue training session, rescue team members dressed in professional gear, maneuvered rescue boats and inflatable boats, and then swiftly shuttled through the simulated complex water environment. They managed to improve their driving skills and operational capabilities through practical exercises. The most challenging exercise was the rescue of drowning individuals, where team members, with precise judgment and tacit cooperation, quickly paddled out boards and flipped them back. After that, they rescued the "drowning person" at a fast speed, fully demonstrating the professional qualities of the rescue team members in the face of danger.

"Through this water rescue training and mountain rescue drills, the emergency team's ability to respond to various complex rescue scenarios has been significantly enhanced. The drills not only effectively tested the team's actual emergency capabilities but also enhanced the members' ability to cooperate in extreme situations," said Cai Liming, captain of the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company's emergency rescue team.

In the future, the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company said it will continue to carry out such training to enhance the emergency rescue team's skills in emergency in distribution networks, camp construction techniques, emergency medical care and other areas, striving to build a strong backbone team for power emergency rescue that is "capable in both peacetime and wartime, multifunctional, well-equipped, well-trained and with strong combat capabilities". Facing the peak summer and flood prevention and typhoon resistance work, the rescue team will spare no effort to ensure the safety of the power grid, safeguarding the lives and property of the people, and demonstrating the responsibility and dedication of the new electric teams.
