Chinese New Year is coming, and preparations are underway to ensure that residents experience a happy and warm festival. In Suqian, Jiangsu province, the State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company accelerated the operation of key projects, further optimized the regional grid structure and protected the stable economic and social operation in Suqian and the people's worry free power consumption in winter.

Recently, Suqian's first key grid project in 2025, 220 kilovolt Chunhao substation, was completed and put into operation. Located in Suyu district, Suqian city, it is equipped with a 180 MVA main transformer. After the completion of the project, it will mainly serve the Suqian high-speed railway, e-commerce industry and residential electricity.

It is reported that in Suqian, one out of every nine people is engaged in e-commerce related work. From the experience over the years, e-commerce benefits are more prominent during Spring Festival, with the power load anticipated to increase significantly. The operation of the spring transformer will further optimize the regional power grid structure, which will play an active support and guarantee for the domestic power consumption of residents and the development of the e-commerce industry.

In addition, based on solving difficult problems and doing practical things, the State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company, together with government units, have carried out centralized management of temporary power consumption communities in the city. Up to now, the rectification of all direct power supply communities in the city has been completed, benefiting nearly 60,000 households.

During Spring Festival, Suqian Electric Power Department will further expand the means of power supply guarantee, deepen the application of unmanned aerial vehicles, increase the density and accuracy of patrol inspection and risk elimination through the "man patrol+machine patrol" mode, and ensure that residents have access to safe and reliable electricity.
