On Oct 21, staff members Zhou Xiaoguo and Han Xinfeng from the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company in Henan conducted inspections on the power distribution facilities for agricultural wells in the northern part of Kejing Town, enhancing operation management and safety measures to ensure reliable power supply.

Currently, wheat planting in the Jiyuan area is nearing completion, and field management is entering a critical pre-winter phase. Reliable electricity is crucial for irrigation, especially given the recent lack of rain and frequent use of agricultural wells. The company has strengthened lean management to ensure dependable power supply and support timely wheat planting.

Jiyuan Power Supply Company prioritizes the maintenance of power lines, equipment operations, and supply assurance as fundamental tasks, integrating them into essential electricity supply efforts. They emphasize coordination, careful planning, and professional collaboration, clearly defining responsibilities for tasks like network inspections, equipment maintenance, hazard identification, risk management, and safety precautions, creating a collaborative work environment.

Given the widespread distribution of power facilities and numerous agricultural wells, the company has mobilized 260 staff members to form 122 inspection teams. They have conducted thorough checks on power lines, distribution stations, cables, switches, protective devices, and the surrounding environment of the wells, enhancing special inspections and ensuring that issues are resolved promptly, hazards are addressed overnight, and risk management remains comprehensive. A special supervisory team, including personnel from discipline inspection and operations management, has also been established to oversee the implementation of these tasks. Since October, the company has prevented 77 risks, such as loose cable joints and weak insulation, and implemented 65 safety measures, including the replacement of warning signs, updating reflective paint on poles, and reinforcing guy wires.

Additionally, Jiyuan Power Supply Company has enhanced electrical safety management and convenient services. While inspecting distribution facilities and maintaining equipment, they impart knowledge on power facility protection and safe electricity usage, guiding the public towards responsible practices. They also actively address customer needs, providing on-site service for electricity-related issues. So far, over 9,000 informational materials have been distributed, with 560 temporary electricity requests processed and more than 300 irrigation-related electricity issues resolved.
