Vientiane welcomes China's cross-border tourism train

Officials from the Department of Information, Culture and Tourism of Vientiane Capital, Vientiane train station were present to congratulate the passengers and crew on the launch of the tourism train and wish for deep tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Developed by the CTG Asset, a subsidiary of China Tourism Group, the train marks a solid step forward in bilateral tourism cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, officials say.
They believe more Chinese travelers will take the StarExpress to explore what Laos has to offer and bring more opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
