Known as the "home of kid's bikes and trikes" in China, Pingxiang county in Xingtai, Hebei province, has worked hard in recent years to boost its children's vehicle business and expand globally.

With an annual production capacity of 145 million children's vehicles, including bicycles and tricycles, the county boasts 129 foreign trade enterprises with self-operated import and export rights, making it one of the national-level bases for foreign trade transformation.

The vehicles made in Pingxiang have been sold to over 60 countries and regions including Russia, Vietnam, Kenya and Sri Lanka, according to a report by Xinhua News Agency.

The value of children vehicles directly exported by manufacturers in the county amounted to 364 million yuan ($50 million) in the first seven months of the year, the report said.
