Eric Kuo, a Taiwan businessman in Chengdu, Sichuan province, who has long been devoted to helping young people in Taiwan find opportunities in Sichuan province, will participate in the flame relay of the Chengdu FISU World University Games at the Southwest Jiaotong University on Wednesday.
He considers it a great honor to carry the flame and will ask his colleagues to take photos during the relay. He said he will show the photos to people in Taiwan to illustrate that the mainland cares for the youth of Taiwan.
He is not alone: On July 14, a student from Taiwan at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine relayed the flame.
