China's logistics value reached 347.6 trillion yuan ($48.6 trillion) last year, a year-on-year increase of 3.4 percent, representing steady growth in the country's logistics sector, according to a recent report by the Ministry of Commerce.

The logistics report for 2022 was released on Saturday during the International Forum on Cross-Border E-commerce Development at the 2023 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair in Langfang, Hebei province, Hebei Daily reported.

The total volume of trade logistics reached 120 trillion yuan, up by 0.2 percent, the report said.

The report showed that the country's logistics network has continued to improve. The capacity of cold storage for agricultural products was increased by 10.8 million metric tons last year, while 1,500 county-level logistics and delivery centers of various types were set up, and 7,600 township-level stations for handling deliveries were established. About 95 percent of villages across the country can get direct delivery services, the report said.

Instant delivery has become a new growth point for e-commerce logistics, with the number of users and orders both maintaining rapid growth and the range of goods delivered constantly expanding, it said.

The increased demand for pre-made food and takeout logistics has injected new impetus into the recovery of the catering industry, the report said.
