The designer toy brand ToyCity based in Dongguan, Guangdong province — a city with one of China's best basketball league team — has launched its Laura figurine series in collaboration with NBA China.

Starting his career in toy manufacturing in Dongguan two decades ago, CEO Zheng Bo created ToyCity in 2020, which is wholly dedicated to toys with their own intellectual property.

The local government will inaugurate a designer toy center later this year to enhance support for the sector.

Dongguan is the largest toy-exporting city in the country, with 4,000 toy manufacturing enterprises and 1,500 supporting enterprises along the industrial chain.
