Shanghai exhibition offers walking tour through European modernism

More than 90 works of art by six masters of modernism from the collection of Museum Berggruen, in Berlin will make their China debut at an upcoming exhibition at UCCA Edge.
Due to open on June 22, Modern Time: Masterpieces from the Collection of Museum Berggruen / Nationalgalerie Berlin will feature pieces by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Paul Klee, Paul Cezanne, Georges Braque and Alberto Giacometti. The survey of the period will move audiences through the style which reshaped Europe's art landscape in the first half of the 20th century.
Museum Berggruen is a member of the Berlin State Museums and holds a renowned collection of modern art.
The exhibition will travel to UCCA Beijing in November.
