The US has no qualifications to lecture others on democracy. It is not the beacon of democracy it self-proclaimed to be. If democracy only means free election, but issues such as money politics, racial discrimination, gun and police violence, and wealth polarization have never been solved, what is the democracy for then? The goal is to live a better life, to be or not to be a democracy is just one of the many choices.
