In the Baiyun quarantine base, the company has also finished construction of 25 buildings of plank houses within just one week, starting Nov 9, which are capable of offering 2,840 beds in total, according to Liu.
"We are also building more beds in fangcang, or makeshift hospitals, in districts of Huadu, Panyu and Baiyu," he said during a press conference on Friday.
