In Hebei, vehicles for kids get a boost
Pingxiang county in Xingtai, Hebei province, has nurtured more than 100,000 talented people in the e-commerce field to serve its pillar industry — the manufacturing of vehicles for children, including strollers, scooters and bicycles.
The county, about 400 kilometers southwest of Beijing, annually produces 145 million bicycles, mini vehicles for children and toys. The sales volume of its products accounts for 70 percent of the domestic market and 50 percent of the international market, according to the county.
To better promote its products, the Pingxiang has nurtured personnel in the e-commerce field for livestreaming, management of online stores and parcel preparation.
The county currently has more than 10,000 online stores on different platforms.
