Ethnic art
Some 80 paintings on ethnic groups are on show at the National Art Museum of China until May 17. They present the history, culture and folk traditions of the Chinese nation, composed of various ethnic groups, and hail the efforts that have been put into the preservation of ethnic cultures and arts. It is a celebration of ethnic harmony which has held different groups together "like the tight seeds of a pomegranate".
