South Korean market research body SNE Research recently released its 2021 global ranking for power battery makers by their installed power capacity. Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) was found to have aced the ranking for the fifth straight year with a market share of 32.6 percent, followed by LG Energy Solution and Panasonic.
It is noteworthy that nine out of the top 10 battery makers are based in China, South Korea and Japan.
