Nearly 300 international students presented a Chinese cultural extravaganza in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 11.

The expat performers are studying at 13 universities in Zhejiang, including Zhejiang University, Communication University of Zhejiang, Zhejiang Normal University and Ningbo University.

"I will represent my university at the gala and I must do my best. To be a good host, I need to practice my Chinese and also learn some hosting techniques," Ngambou Lontsi Gervais, a Cameroonian student, told China Daily before the extravaganza.

Gervais has been studying engineering at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University since 2015 and also was a foreign host of the 2020 "Dreams Come True in Zhejiang" event.

The performances featured dragon dances, songs, recitals, dramas, and more items revolving around Chinese language and culture, most of which are inspired by these foreign students' experiences in the province.
