When the COVID-19 broke out, he was home for the Spring Festival reunion in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province. Chen then immediately signed up for the construction of Huoshenshan and Leishenshan, two makeshift hospitals built in Wuhan to treat COVID-19 patients, where he worked very hard with his colleagues for over 20 days.
