China and the United States certainly have a broad space to work together to improve the well-being of the rest of the world, said Jin Liqun, president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

"We should look beyond the trade dispute," Jin said, calling for more international attention to jointly solve problems faced by the globe, such as climate change and development imbalance.

Jin added that the possibility of China and the US signing the phase one deal was promising. He made the remarks at the ongoing New Economy Forum in Beijing on Thursday, co-held by Bloomberg and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges.
