More than 60 handicrafts which showcase the intangible cultural heritage from various regions of China are now on display at the "The Wind Comes from the Sea" exhibition in the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen.
The exhibition will last till Oct 6.
Jointly held by the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts and the National Museum of Denmark, the exhibition aims to become a platform to promote exchange in culture and craftsmanship between the two countries.
The showcase includes Chinese dyeing and weaving, bamboo art, wood carving, paper cutting, ceramics and metal forging from the Chinese provinces of Qinghai and Sichuan as well as Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Many of the works were created by the teachers and students of the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. Others were created through a partnership between inheritors of cultural heritage and designers from the school.
