Bulgaria to host an economic forum on its bid to join euro zone
Bulgaria will host an economic forum on its bid to join the euro zone on Jan 29. EU Commission vice-president Valdis Dombrovskis, Bulgarian prime minister, Boyko Borissov, and finance minister, Vladislav Goranov will attend.
Bulgaria is now a step closer to joining the euro after 19 finance ministers agreed that Sofia should become the 20th country in the euro zone by July 2019.
"The European Commission welcomes Bulgaria's efforts to join the euro zone," said Valdis Dombrovskis.
