In recent years, Xibu Ancient Street has made efforts to integrate cultural heritage conservation with tourism market expansion, aiming to show the authentic traditional folk culture. As the largest Tujia cultural experience center in the western Hunan region, Xibu Ancient Street was named the 2016 Hunan Provincial Characteristic Cultural Industry Demonstration Base, the Hunan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Base and a National 4A Level Scenic Spot.
