Beijing. What can I say? This was the view at 8 in the morning looking south along Dong Sanhuan from the Hilton Beijing Hotel. When I came first to Beijing in 1987 there was Erhuan (Second Ring Road). There was no traffic, Erhuan was very quiet. That's changed today. I have been transfixed the last two days simply watching the scene, not just the traffic but the rising CBD to the south.
