Cheng's father was shot to death by a Japanese soldier in 1937. Cheng has two sons and her husband passed away in a car accident in 2008. The year 2017 marks the 80th anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, in which more than 300,000 Chinese were killed by the Japanese invaders who occupied Nanjing on Dec. 13, 1937, marking the start of six weeks of destruction, pillage, rape and slaughter in the city. Reporters from Xinhua spent many years to look for the survivors of Nanjing Massacre and record their current lives. [Photo/Xinhua]
